HOW Breast Augmentation WORKS

using a short scar technique and gentle tissue handling, a pocket is made in the breast, either above or under the muscle, tailored to the specific size of the implant chosen by the patient ahead of time. The implant, which can be silicone or saline filled, is then placed into the custom fit pocket, and the incision is precisely closed using internal dissolving stitches.

  • A consultation with Dr. Beber to discuss your specific breast enlargement surgical goals.
  • A review of your health history including any previous surgeries, medications, health issues, and family history.
  • An in depth explanation of the different surgical options including the advantages, disadvantages risks and complications of each option.
  • Examination and detailed measurements will be taken of multiple aspects of the breast and chest including the height and width of the breast, the breast and nipple positions, and tissue quality to help determine the optimum procedure for your goals.
  • These measurements will allow us to determine the range of implant sizes that will be your chest wall, in terms of diameter and projection, and you will then be able to try on various implants to help you visualize the changes created by the different implant sizes. You will have a second visit several weeks before your surgery to answer any further questions you may have, to finalize the surgical plan and implant size with you, to provide you with your prescriptions prior to surgery, and to complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Recovery is an incredibly important part of any operation, and you will have multiple routine follow up appointments to monitor your progress, maximize healing, and optimize scar management.
