Brachioplasty | Arm Lift

A brachioplasty is a surgical procedure on the upper arms designed to remove loose excess skin and fat from the arms.this extra skin usually occurs as an unwanted consequence of weightloss,
HOW IT WORKS
A brachioplasty involves a long incision placed along the back of the arm where the skin hangs or just in front of that. It is usually combined with liposuction to remove the fatty component under the skni first to get the best result if fat is present. the length of the incision depends on the amount of extra skin that needs to be removed – more skin means a longer incision. For those patients whose excess skin extends into the armpit and side of the chest, the incision can be extended into those areas to contour them as well. After removal of the excess fat and skin, the incisions are closed with sutures and dressings are applied. Patients will werar compressive garments on the arms for 4-6 weeks to decrease swelling and bruising. Like all scars, brachioplasty scars usually get lighter over time, but never go away. These scars are hidden when wearing long sleeved clothing, but are visible in short sleeve clothes like t-shirts, tank tops, sleeveless dresses, bathing suits etc…Because these scars are not well hidden in these types of clothes, most people undergoing this operation have quite severe amounts of extra skin, often from significant weight loss. To many of these patients, the benefit from removing large amounts of arm skin outweighs the downsides of the visitble scars.

REVIEWS
I can’t express how happy I am with the results of my arm lift (Brachioplasty). I now have beautiful slender arms. Never thought arms could feel & look so attractive while showing them off with all my sleeveless clothes. This was the best decision I ever made. Feeling as young as my spirit instead of my age.
I’m so proud to show them off. And my scars? What scars? They are hardly noticeable. I think alot of the credit is due to Dr Beber in making such a fine thin incision and experience is the key. Good luck to those that plan on doing this surgery. Just be sure you do your home work & pick only the best surgeon you can find. You only have one set of arms & there is no room for error.
I had such ugly arms after weight loss & probably aging skin. Exercise didn’t help & it was then i did my research in finding only the best cosmetic surgeon to perform my surgery. I wanted an outstanding plastic surgeon with experience and top notch credentials & wanted the job done right the first time. I found an amazing plastic surgeon, Dr Brett Beber and his wonderful staff.
